Archibald Prize For Portraiture 2009 Every year in my home town of Sydney, Australia the highly prestigious Archibald Prize for Portraiture is held by the Art Gallery of New South Wales. The winning entry is judged by the trustees of the art gallery. I met Wendy Bookatz when I was performing with my band (Jazzcatz) and she mentioned to me that I would be a good subject for the 2009 Archibald Prize. I was really flattered that this Australian award winning artist would want to paint me. I have spent many hours sitting for Wendy so she can perfect her painting and she has spent countless hours completing it! Wendy has done a magnificient job of painting me and I am proud to be included in this competition.
